David Brown, a Legal Executive in our Litigation department, is another one of our number who was born in Sheffield. Having attended  King Ecgbert's school in Dore, David went on to the Hallam University where he sat an HND in business studies before joining a firm of solicitors in Sheffield as a trainee Legal Executive in 1979.

David joined our predecessor firm, Swann Dodson & Co, in 1985 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute in 1988 since which time he has mainly specialised in Personal Injury claims. David is on the Law Society's personal injury panel and is a member of the association of personal injury lawyers.

Married to a long suffering staff nurse at one of the City hospitals David has what he describes as an obsession with modern Jazz and spends all of his spare time and probably money, scouring record shops for obscure classics and traipsing around Europe watching Jazz concerts. Thus far he has however resisted the temptation to grow a beard and wear chunky knit sweaters.
