Breda Cashell, a partner in of our Wills Trusts & Probate department, has been with the firm since 1998 when she joined us after 10 years at another Sheffield practice in order to takeover from Godfrey Smythe who had decided that the time had come to retire.

Born in Sheffield, Breda went to Notre Dame school, as incidentally did another one of our partners Carmel Doyle, before obtaining a place at the University of Huddersfield to study Law. Breda was awarded an LLB 2.2 Hons degree and moved on to the College of Law at Chester to take her solicitor's final exams.

Breda qualified as a solicitor in September 1988 having spent two years with the legal department of Sheffield City Council.

Away from the office she likes to spend as much time as she can gardening at her home in the Nether Edge area of Sheffield. Somewhat less conventionally, Breda also has an interest in Yoga. For her neighbour's sake lets just hope she doesn't combine the two.
